Freaks

In this collection I revisit Freaks, Todd Browning’s legendary film, through a series of black-and-white drawings that oscillate between strength and delicacy. Moving away from the film’s tale of exclusion and revenge, I search for spaces of fraternity and dignity. The characters, once removed from their original context, become autonomous presences inviting us to look without prejudice and to face our own fragility.

It is a reflection on the representation of difference and the boundaries between art and spectacle — an attempt to strip away mockery and reveal humanity, beauty, and self-acceptance.
