The Annunciation - Punk Installation
Barcelona's Fabra i Coats Art Factory opening was a huge party, with dozens of artists exhibiting and acting, and hundreds of visitors. An amazing experience and a rare installation for the occasion, I thought. There were hard moments as I worked with such raw, bloody, and smelly materials as animal offal: lamb and cow gut, raw pork skin, dead skinned giant rabbits, Argentinian pigeon wings... I had to install air conditioning behind the curtain as soon as I put the lamps on... In the installation, she, the virgin, is receiving advice on her pregnancy when the baby to be born is already as tall as an angel. A bit too late.
