All about Eve
After the relaxing period we enjoyed with Milos while working on our landscape series, we started our Miroir Noir much-spoken-about series of nudes. Another plunge into the shapes of the human body. Pleasure and pain for the painter. This series was painted on thick luxury etching paper –an unfamiliar material for us. Paper is so expressive and yields so many more sensations than canvas. When painting on paper, one must be much more focused at the first stages of expressivity, and be more sure of one’s brushstrokes.
Quite a zen and sexy exercise after the mayhems our working together have been so far!
